Ken Laufman
Kenneth Laufman (born January 30, 1932 in Hamilton , Ontario ) is a retired Canadian ice hockey player .
Career
Ken Laufman began his career as a hockey player with the Guelph Biltmore Mad Hatters, with whom he 1952 the Memorial Cup won. He himself received the Eddie Powers Memorial Trophy as the top scorer in the OHA Junior League . He then played in the senior division for a year for the Halifax Atlantics in the Maritime Major Hockey League and from 1953 to 1960 for the Kitchener-Waterloo Dutchmen from the Senior Ontario Hockey Association. With the Dutchmen he represented Canada at the Winter Olympics in 1956 and 1960. For the playoffs of the 1959/60 season , the center moved to the Hull-Ottawa Canadiens from the Eastern Professional Hockey League , for which he played three games. He then spent two years with the Johnstown Jets from the Eastern Hockey League . For the 1962/63 season he joined the Portland Buckaroos from the Western Hockey League , where he began the following season , rather during the season to the Indianapolis Capitals / Cincinnati Wings from the Central Professional Hockey League , where he moved after the season ended his career at the age of 32.
International
For Canada Laufman participated in the Winter Olympics in 1956 in Cortina d'Ampezzo and 1960 in Squaw Valley part. At the 1956 Winter Games, he and his team won the bronze medal, and at the 1960 Winter Games, the silver medal.
