Emms Family Award
The Emms Family Award is an award from the Ontario Hockey League . It has been awarded annually to the best rookie in the league since the end of the 1972/73 season . The winner has also been taking part in the CHL Rookie of the Year election since 1988 .
The trophy was donated by Leighton “Hap” Emms , who won four Memorial Cup wins as a coach in the 1950s and 1960s .
