The 1984/85 OHL season was the fifth season of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). The Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds won the Hamilton Spectator Trophy as the best point team of the regular season , prevailed in the playoff final against the Peterborough Petes and won their first J. Ross Robertson Cup .
Changes
The Brantford Alexanders were relocated to Hamilton in the run-up to the season and henceforth operate as Hamilton Steelhawks . In addition, the Windsor Spitfires changed their name to Windsor Compuware Spitfires after the team was sold .
