Emms Trophy
The Emms Trophy is an Ontario Hockey League trophy for the team that wins the Central Division in the regular season . The trophy was awarded for the first time in the 1975/76 season. At that time the winner of the Emms Division was awarded. With the division of the OHL into three groups for the 1994/95 season, the trophy was awarded to the Central Division . It is named after Hap Emms (1905–1988), a former NHL player and general manager of the Boston Bruins, as well as the owner of various youth teams.
