The 2002/03 OHL season was the 23rd season of the Ontario Hockey League . The regular season began on September 19, 2002 and ended on March 16, 2003. The play-offs started on March 20, 2003 and ended with the Kitchener Rangers' third J. Ross Robertson Cup win on May 10, 2003 who prevailed in the OHL final against the Ottawa 67’s .
Team changes
The North Bay Centennials were relocated to Saginaw , Michigan prior to the start of the season and renamed the Saginaw Spirit . The new team was placed in the West Division of the OHL Western Conference. As a result, the London Knights were transferred from the West Division to the Midwest Division. As a further change, the Brampton Battalion was moved from the Midwest Division of the Western Conference to the Central Division of the OHL Eastern Conference.
