On August 6, 2010 Benoit received a contract as a free agent with the Ottawa Senators , for which he prepared a goal in eight games in the National Hockey League . However , he spent most of the 2010/11 season with Ottawa's farm team Binghamton Senators in the AHL and won the Calder Cup with the team.
