The 2006/07 season was the 71st regular season of the American Hockey League (AHL). The regular season began on October 4, 2006 and ended on April 15, 2007. During that time, the 27 teams in the league each played 80 games. The playoffs began on April 18th.

On January 29, 2007 the 20th AHL All-Star Classic took place, which was played between a Canadian All-Star team and the PlanetUSA team, consisting of US and international players. The venue was the Ricoh Coliseum in Toronto , Ontario . The PlanetUSA team won 7-6.
