The 2006/07 season was the 16th regular season of the United Hockey League (until 1997 Colonial Hockey League ). The ten teams completed 76 matches each in the regular season . The team with the highest points in the regular season was the Fort Wayne Komets , while the Rockford IceHogs won the Colonial Cup for the first time in the play-offs .
Team changes
The following changes were made before the start of the season:
- The Adirondack Frostbite stopped the game.
- The Danbury Trashers stopped playing.
- The Missouri River Otters stopped playing.
- The Motor City Mechanics stopped the game.
- The Roanoke Valley Vipers stopped playing.
- The Bloomington Prairie Thunders were added to the league as an expansion team.
- The Richmond RiverDogs were relocated to Chicago , Illinois , and changed their name to Chicago Hounds .
