The Chicago Hounds were an American ice hockey team from Chicago , Illinois . The team played in the United Hockey League in the 2006/07 season .

history

The franchise of the Richmond River Dogs of the United Hockey League was founded in 2006 from Richmond , Virginia , to Chicago, Illinois, relocated and renamed the Chicago Hounds. In their only season, the 2006/07 season, the team reached the playoffs for the Colonial Cup as fourth in the Eastern Division. In these, the team was eliminated in the first round with 1: 4 wins in the best-of-seven series against the Fort Wayne Komets . After failed negotiations about a long-term lease with the management of the Sears Center , the franchise was dissolved in 2007 after just one year.
