The Chatham Wheels were a Canadian ice hockey team from Chatham-Kent , Ontario . The team played in the Colonial Hockey League from 1992 to 1994 .

history

The Chatham Wheels were founded in 1992 as a franchise of the Colonial Hockey League . After they had missed the playoffs in their premiere season in seventh place, they reached the playoff final in the following year, in which they clearly defeated the Thunder Bay Senators with 1: 4 wins in the best-of-seven series. Previously, Chatham had prevailed against the St. Thomas Wildcats and Flint Generals .

Following the 1993/94 season, the franchise was relocated to Saginaw , Michigan , where it then took part in the league's gaming operations under the name Saginaw Wheels .
