The Madison Kodiaks were an American ice hockey team from Madison , Wisconsin . The team played in the United Hockey League in the 1999/2000 season .

history

The team was founded in 1999 as a franchise of the United Hockey League was founded. The team was owned by 14 individuals and was set as the successor to the Madison Monsters . The Kodiaks finished their only season in third place in the Western Division. In the subsequent playoffs for the Colonial Cup they failed after a victory over the Rockford IceHogs in the second round at the eventual master Flint Generals in the best-of-seven series with 2: 4 wins. The team was then relocated to Kalamazoo , Michigan , where it took part in the UHL game operations under the name Kalamazoo Wings . There the team filled the gap left by the traditional club Kalamazoo Wings / Michigan K-Wings from the International Hockey League in the same year.
