The Mohawk Valley Prowlers were an American ice hockey team from Utica , New York . The team played in the United Hockey League from 1998 to 2001 .

history

The franchise of the Dayton Ice Bandits of the United Hockey League in 1998 of Dayton , Ohio , to Utica, New York, relocated and renamed the Mohawk Valley Prowlers. Her biggest success in her three-year existence was reaching the second round of the playoffs for the Colonial Cup in the 1999/2000 season. After they had occupied second place in the Eastern Division, they first won against the Missouri River Otters , before they failed in round two at the eventual finalist Quad City Mallards with 1: 4 wins in the best-of-seven series. In 1999 and 2001, the team missed the playoffs. Following the 2000/01 season, the franchise was dissolved.
