The Detroit Falcons were an American ice hockey team from Fraser , Michigan . The team played in the Colonial Hockey League from 1991 to 1996 .

history

The team was founded in 1991 under the name Michigan Falcons as a franchise of the first United Hockey League . Following its premiere season, the team was renamed the Detroit Falcons. The Falcons' greatest success was winning the division title in 1992 and 1995. In the playoffs for the Colonial Cup , the team from the metropolitan area of ​​Detroit was always represented, but came out after a three-time first round in 1995 and 1996 not beyond the second round.

Following the 1995/96 season, the franchise was relocated to Port Huron , Michigan , where it then went on to play in the Colonial Hockey League - from 1997 United Hockey League - under the name Port Huron Border Cats .
