The BC Icemen were an American ice hockey team based in Binghamton , New York . The team played in the United Hockey League from 1997 to 2002 .

history

The team was founded in 1997 as a franchise of the United Hockey League was founded. After the team failed in their first two seasons in the first round of the playoffs for the Colonial Cup, they reached round two in the 1999/2000 season, in which they were defeated by Fort Wayne Komets after a bye with 2: 4 wins . This was the greatest success in franchise history. In 2002 they repeated this success. In 1999 and 2000, the BC Icemen took first place in the Eastern Division in the regular season.

Following the 2001/02 season, the franchise was dissolved. The gap that this created in the city was then filled by the Binghamton Senators of the American Hockey League .
