In the following 17 years they played exclusively in the Colonial Hockey League and its successors United Hockey League and International Hockey League. During this period they won the Colonial Cup , the championship of the CoHL and UHL (1996 and 2000) and the Tarry Cup as the team with the highest points in the regular season (1996 and 1997). Furthermore, they failed in 1997 and 1998 in the playoff final for the Colonial Cup at the Quad City Mallards and most recently in the 2009/10 season in the final for the Turner Cup at the Fort Wayne Komets . The team was then disbanded.
During the 1994/95 season, the team served as the farm team of the Chicago Blackhawks and the New Jersey Devils .
