The 2005/06 season was the 15th regular season of the United Hockey League (until 1997 Colonial Hockey League ). The 14 teams completed 76 games each in the regular season . The team with the highest points in the regular season were the Kalamazoo Wings , who won the Colonial Cup for the first time in the play-offs .
Team changes
The following changes were made before the start of the season:
- The Kansas City Outlaws stopped playing.
- The Port Huron Flags were added to the league as an expansion team.
- The Port Huron Beacons were relocated to Roanoke , Virginia and changed their name to the Roanoke Valley Vipers .
