The 2005-06 season was the 14th regular season of the Central Hockey League . The 15 teams completed 64 games each in the regular season . The Central Hockey League was played in four divisions . The team with the highest points in the regular season were the Colorado Eagles , while the Laredo Bucks won the Ray Miron President's Cup for the second time in the play-offs .
Team changes
The following changes were made before the start of the season:
- The San Angelo Saints stopped playing.
- The Topeka Tarantulas stopped playing.
- The New Mexico Scorpions became inactive.
- The Youngstown Steelhounds were added to the league as an expansion team.
