The 2001-02 season was the tenth regular season of the Central Hockey League . The 16 teams completed 64 games each in the regular season . The Central Hockey League was played in four divisions . The team with the highest points in the regular season were the Odessa Jackalopes , while the Memphis RiverKings won the Ray Miron President's Cup for the first time in the play-offs . Before the start of the season, the CHL was increased by five teams, this was mainly due to the dissolution of the Western Professional Hockey League , from which ten teams switched to the CHL.
