The San Angelo Saints were an American ice hockey team based in San Angelo , Texas . The team played in the Central Hockey League from 2001 to 2005 .
history
The team was founded in 1997 under the name San Angelo Outlaws as a franchise of the Western Professional Hockey League . In this they played until the dissolution of the league following the 2001/02 season. With some other teams, the Outlaws moved to the Central Hockey League , in which they clearly missed the playoffs for the Miron Cup in their first season as last division . As a result, the club was renamed San Angelo Saints. The Texans played under this name until those responsible ceased gaming in 2005 and dissolved the franchise. In their last two seasons they reached the first playoff round, which was also the greatest success in the club's eight-year history.
