The Rocky Mountain Rage were an American ice hockey team from Broomfield , Colorado . The team played in the Central Hockey League from 2006 to 2009 .

history

The Rocky Mountain Rage was founded in 2006 as a franchise of the Central Hockey League . After they missed the playoffs for the Miron Cup in their first two seasons , they finished the 2008/09 season in second place in the Northwest Division. In the subsequent playoffs, however, they were eliminated in the first round when they were defeated by the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs in the best-of-three series with 1: 2 wins. For the 2009/10 season, those responsible withdrew the franchise from the CHL's gaming operations, but it should return to it in summer 2010. Subsequently, however, the team no longer took up the game.
