history

The Dallas Freeze was founded in 1992 as a franchise of the Central Hockey League . In their first season, the team reached the playoffs for the Miron Cup for the first time , in which they were defeated in the first round in the best-of-seven series to the eventual champions Tulsa Oilers 3: 4. In the 1993/94 season they failed in the first playoff round with the same result on eventual champions Wichita Thunder . The 1994/95 season ended the Dallas Freeze in seventh and thus last place and missed the playoffs for the first time, whereupon those responsible withdrew the team from the game operations of the CHL and dissolved it after the season.
