The team with the highest points in the regular season were the Colorado Eagles , who won the Ray Miron President's Cup for the first time in the play-offs .
Team changes
The following changes were made before the start of the season:
- The Indianapolis Ice were relocated to Topeka , Kansas , and from then on played under the name Topeka Tarantulas .
