The 2002–03 season was the eleventh regular season of the Central Hockey League . The 16 teams completed 64 games each in the regular season . The Central Hockey League was played in four divisions . The team with the highest points in the regular season were the Austin Ice Bats , while the Memphis RiverKings won the Ray Miron President's Cup for the second time in the play-offs .
Team changes
The following changes were made before the start of the season:
- The San Antonio Iguanas stopped playing.
- The Laredo Bucks were added to the league as an expansion team.
- The Amarillo Rattlers changed their name to Amarillo Gorillas.
- The San Angelo Outlaws changed their name to San Angelo Saints.
