The Atlantic Coast Hockey League (ACHL) was a sub-class ice hockey minor league in the southern United States , which only existed in the 2002/03 season.

history

The Atlantic Coast Hockey League was named after a league of the same name that existed from 1981 to 1987 and merged with the All-American Hockey League in 1988 to form the ECHL . The first and only champion of the ACHL were the Orlando Seals from Florida . After that, the teams left it and founded two new leagues:

These two leagues only managed to get through the 2003/04 season. Some teams from both leagues then founded the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL).
