(3915) Fukushima is an asteroid of the main belt , of August 15, 1988 by the Japanese astronomers Masayuki Yanai and Watanabe Kazuro at the observatory of Kitami ( IAU code was discovered 400).

It was named in honor of the Japanese hydrodynamics professor at the University of Hokkaidō Hisao Fukushima , who, as an active amateur astronomer, is particularly concerned with the history of astronomy.
