Kazurō Watanabe

Kazurō Watanabe ( Japanese 渡 辺 和 郎 , Watanabe Kazurō ; born May 1, 1955 in Kushiro , Hokkaidō ) is a Japanese amateur astronomer and member of the Japanese Astronomical Society .

Together with Kin Endate, Watanabe has discovered more than 500 asteroids . He is the author or co-author of the Japanese publications Shōwakusei Hunter ( 小 惑星 ハ ン タ ー , shōwakusei hantā , dt. "Asteroid hunter "), Tentai Shashin Manual ( 天体 写真 マ ニ ュ アtent , tentai shashin manyuaru , dt. " Yume no Hoshizora ( 僕 ら の 夢 の 星空 , dt. "The starry sky of our dreams") and others. He also frequently writes articles in the monthly Japanese magazine Gekkan Tenmon Guide ( 月刊 天文 ガ イ ド , gekkan tenmon gaido , German "Monthly Astronomy Guide ").

The asteroid (4155) Watanabe is named after him.
