The North West Hockey League was a North American Hockey - Minor League , which existed from 1933 to 1936.

The North West Hockey League was founded in 1933 by the Calgary Tigers and Edmonton Eskimos , who were left with no competition after the Western Canada Hockey League was dissolved after only one year of play. In addition, the Portland Buckaroos and Vancouver Lions , who were offered until 1931 in the then interrupted Pacific Coast Hockey League , began playing again. With the Seattle Seahawksyou could also add a completely new team to the league. The NWHL existed for three years before Calgary and Edmonton ceased playing. The other three teams decided in 1936 to continue playing in the Pacific Coast Hockey League.
