International Hockey League (1929-1936)
The International Hockey League (IHL) was a North American professional ice hockey league that existed from 1929 to 1936. After the end of the 1935/36 season, the league merged with the Canadian-American Hockey League to form the International-American Hockey League . This in turn became the American Hockey League in 1940 . The International Hockey League emerged from the Canadian Professional Hockey League , which existed from 1926 to 1929.
