The 1935/36 season was the seventh and final regular season of the International Hockey League (IHL). The Detroit Olympics became champions . For the 1936/37 season , the IHL was merged with the Canadian-American Hockey League and renamed the International-American Hockey League .

The following changes were made before the start of the season:

In the regular season, the eight teams completed between 46 and 48 games, with the league being divided into two divisions (Eastern and Western). Each team received two points for a win, one point for a tie and zero points for a defeat.
