The Pittsburgh Jellow Jackets were an American ice hockey team from Pittsburgh , Pennsylvania . The team played between 1915 and 1937 in the International Hockey League and the Eastern Hockey League .

history

The Pittsburgh Yellow Jackets franchise played in the United States Amateur Hockey Association (USAHA) from 1915 to 1925. After the league was dissolved, the owner of the Yellow Jackets sold his team, which the new team owner played as the Pittsburgh Pirates in the National Hockey League from 1925 to 1930 . After the Pirates were relocated in 1930 and replaced by the Philadelphia Quakers , the Yellow Jackets resumed gaming operations and played in the professional International Hockey League from 1930 to 1932 . After the team was not active in any league in between, the Yellow Jackets played from 1935 to 1937 in the Eastern Hockey League before the team was finally disbanded.
