The Bronx Tigers were an American ice hockey team from New York City , New York . The team from the Bronx played between 1931 and 1938 in the Canadian-American Hockey League and the Eastern Hockey League .
history
The Bronx Tigers franchise was founded in 1931 as a member of the Canadian-American Hockey League . In their premiere season , the team finished fourth in the regular season and qualified for the playoffs, in which they were defeated by the later champions Providence Reds in the first round in a series with 2: 5 goals. The team then left the CAHL again and instead appeared in the Eastern Hockey League in the 1933/34 and 1937/38 seasons .
