The Niagara Falls Cataracts were a Canadian ice hockey team from Niagara Falls , Ontario . The team played between 1926 and 1930 in the Canadian Professional Hockey League and the International Hockey League .

The Niagara Falls Cataracts franchise was founded in 1926 as a member of the Canadian Professional Hockey League . After the league was replaced by the International Hockey League in 1929 , the Cataracts also competed in the IHL. Following the 1929/30 season , the team stopped playing.
