The Stratford Nationals were a Canadian ice hockey team based in Stratford , Ontario . The team played in the Canadian Professional Hockey League from 1926 to 1928 .

The Stratford Nationals franchise was founded in 1926 as a member of the Canadian Professional Hockey League . In the 1927/28 season , the team won the Canpro championship title, and in 1927 and 1928 they took first place after the regular season. After two years, the team, which was the farm team of the Montreal Maroons from the National Hockey League at the time of its existence , has already been disbanded.
