The 2002/03 season was the seventh regular season of the Ligue de hockey semi-professionnelle du Québec (LHSPQ). The 15 teams were supposed to play 52 games each in the regular season , but the schedule had to be changed due to the early, financially-related departure of the Rapides de LaSalle . The team with the highest points of the regular season were the Prolab de Thetford Mines , while the Chiefs de Laval won the Coupe Futura for the second time in the play-offs .
Team changes
The following changes were made before the start of the season:
- The Mission de Joliette were relocated to Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu , Québec , and changed their name to Mission de Saint-Jean .
- The Condors de Jonquière were relocated to Saguenay , Québec , and changed their name to Paramédic du Saguenay
- The Dubé d'Asbestos returned to their original name Aztèques d'Asbestos.
- The Blitz de Granby changed their name to Prédateurs de Granby.
