The Caron & Guay de Pont-Rouge ( English Pont-Rouge Caron & Guay ) were a Canadian ice hockey team from Pont-Rouge , Québec . The team played in the Québec Semi-Pro Hockey League from 1996 to 2004 .

history

The team was founded in 1995 and played in the Ligue senior de la Mauricie for a year . When this was incorporated into the Québec Semi-Pro Hockey League through a merger a year later , the franchise was one of the 13 founding members of the QSPHL. In this her greatest success was reaching the playoff final for the Coupe Futura in the 1999/2000 season. In this they failed because of the Rapides de LaSalle . In the summer of 2001 the team was sold and its name was changed to Caron & Guay de Pont-Rouge. Under the new owners, the team reached the second playoff round as the best result in the 2003/04 season. The franchise was then dissolved.

The void left by the dissolution of Caron & Guay in the city was filled by Lois Jeans de Pont-Rouge , who were active in the Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey from 2008 to 2010.
