The Assurancia de Thetford are a Canadian ice hockey team from Thetford Mines , Québec . The team has played in the Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey since 2004 .

history

The franchise was founded in 1996 under the name Coyotes de Thetford Mines. She was one of the founding members of the Québec Semi-Pro Hockey League (from 2004 due to the increasing professionalization of the participants Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey). From 2000 to 2007 the team was called Prolab, since then Isothermic de Thetford Mines. In total, the team was in the playoff finals for the Coupe Canam six times (Coupe Futura until 2009). In 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006 and 2009, however, you were defeated every time. It was not until 2012 that the team managed to win a final series for the first time. After trailing 2-0 down after two games against Wild de Windsor , the team turned the series with four wins in a row and won the championship for the first time.

In 2015 the name was changed to Assurancia de Thetford .
