David Gosselin (born June 22, 1977 in Lévis , Québec ) is a former Canadian ice hockey player .
Career
From 1994 to 1998 Gosselin played in the QMJHL (Youth League) for the Sherbrooke Faucons and the Chicoutimi Sagueneens . There he scored 107 goals in 246 games and gave 150 assists . During this time he was also selected by the New Jersey Devils in the 1995 NHL Entry Draft in the third round as 78th. He then played in the IHL and AHL for the Milwaukee Admirals and the Utah Grizzlies. The Devils gave the rights to him to the Nashville Predators . There Gosselin played 13 NHL games.
In 2003 Gosselin moved from the Utah Grizzlies from the AHL to the Main to the Frankfurt Lions . David Gosselin was instrumental in winning the championship in 2004 with 8 goals and 7 assists in the play-off final series against the Eisbären Berlin . After winning the championship, Gosselin decided to switch to the Kassel Huskies . After a disappointing year with Northern Hesse, he returned to the Main in 2005. In his second season in Frankfurt he scored 12 goals and provided 8 assists in 50 games. After missing the play-offs in 2006, David Gosselin had to leave the Frankfurt Lions against his will. He signed a contract with the Steelers from Bietigheim-Bissingen until 2007.
