The Fjord du Saguenay ( English Saguenay Fjord ) were a Canadian ice hockey team from Saguenay , Québec . The team played from 2002 to 2005 in the Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey .

history

The franchise of Jonquière Condors from the Quebec Semi-Pro Hockey League was founded in 2002 by Jonquière resettled in Saguenay and renamed Paramédic du Saguenay. In their first two seasons after the resettlement, they finished fourth and sixth in their division. While the QSPHL changed its name to Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey in 2004 due to the increasing professionalism of its participants, the owners of the Paramédic du Saguenay sold the team due to financial problems, so that it started under the name Fjord du Saguenay in the 2004/05 season . The team's financial situation continued to deteriorate, however, so that the team was withdrawn from the LNAH game operations after just 24 of the 60 game days of the regular season. The franchise was then dissolved.
