The Cornwall River Kings ( French River Kings de Cornwall ) are a Canadian ice hockey franchise from Cornwall in the province of Ontario . The team has been playing in the Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey since moving from Windsor in 2012 .
history
It was not until 2011 that the Wild de Windsor came into being after the franchise had been relocated from Sherbrooke and were in the 2012 final for the Coupe Canam , where they were subject to the Isothermic de Thetford Mines . However, after it became known that the franchise had made a loss of 100,000 Canadian dollars within one season , the sale of the franchise to Cornwall in the province of Ontario was announced in April 2012 . The River Kings are the only team in the league that is not based in the province of Québec .
