The Blizzard de Saint-Gabriel ( English St. Gabriel Blizzard ) were a Canadian ice hockey team from Saint-Gabriel , Québec . The team played in the Québec Semi-Pro Hockey League from 1996 to 1998 .

history

The Blizzard de Saint-Gabriel was founded in 1996 as a franchise of the Québec Semi-Pro Hockey League . In this you were one of 13 founding members. In the two years of their existence, they completed their division in the regular season from first place. In the subsequent playoffs for the Coupe Futura , they prevailed in the 1996/97 season and were the first title holder of the new league.

Following the 1997/98 season, the franchise was relocated to Joliette , where it then took part in the Québec Semi-Pro Hockey League under the name Blizzard de Joliette (later Mission de Joliette).
