Guillaume Besse (* 26. January 1976 in Paris ) was a French ice hockey player who will be among other homeland in 2002 at the Winter Olympics represented.
Career
Guillaume Besse began his career as a hockey player in the team at Clarkson University , for which he was active in the NCAA from 1995 to 1998 . He then took part in the Canadian University League Canadian Interuniversity Sport for a year with the Concordia University team. From 1999 to 2003, the attacker was in his French homeland with Rouen Hockey Elite 76 in the Ligue Magnus under contract. With the French, he won the national championship in 2001 and 2003 , and the finalist Coupe de France in 2002 . In addition, he failed with his team in the 1999/2000 season only in the final of the Coupe de France at the Hockey Club de Caen . He himself received the Trophée Charles Ramsey as the top scorer of the Ligue Magnus following the 2001/02 season . During this season he had scored 34 goals and provided 24 assists in 36 games.
For the 2003/04 season , Besse signed with Caron & Guay de Pont-Rouge in the Canadian Ligue de hockey senior majeur du Québec . This was followed by a season at his ex-club from Rouen, in which he was able to repeat the 2002 cup win. In the following four years the Olympic participant from 2002 played exclusively in the successor league of the LHSMQ, the Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey, which is considered to be the toughest ice hockey league in the world, where he played for Caron & Guay de Trois-Rivières , Radio X de Québec and CRS Express de Saint-Georges was on the ice. He ended his career in 2009 at the age of 33.
International
For France , Besse only took part in the 1996 U20 Junior B World Cup in the junior division. In the senior sector, he was in his country's squad at the 1997 A World Championships , where he was not involved, and at the 2001 , 2002 and 2005 B World Championships . He also represented France at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City and at the qualifying tournaments for the 2002 and 2006 Winter Games .
