The 1998/99 season was the third regular season of the Ligue de hockey semi-professionnelle du Québec (LHSPQ). The 13 teams completed 36 games each in the regular season . The team with the highest points in the regular season were the Blizzard de Joliette , who also won the Coupe Futura for the first time in the play-offs .
Team changes
The following changes were made before the start of the season:
- The As de Québec had to suspend the game due to a violation of the rules of the league.
- The Chiefs de Sainte-Thérèse were relocated to Laval , Québec , and changed their name to Chiefs de Laval .
- The Dragons d'Iberville were relocated to Saint Laurent , Québec , and changed their name to Dragons de Saint-Laurent .
- The Chacals de la Rive-Sud were relocated to Saint-Georges-de-Beauce , Québec , and changed their name to Garaga de Saint-Georges .
- The Blizzard de Saint-Gabriel were relocated to Joliette , Québec , and changed their name to Blizzard de Joliette .
