The 1998/99 season was the fourth regular season of the West Coast Hockey League . During the regular season, the nine teams should play 70 games each, but the schedule had to be changed due to the early financial departure of the Tucson Gila Monsters . In the play-offs, the Tacoma Sabercats prevailed and won the first Taylor Cup in their club history.
