The 1995/96 season was the fifth regular season of the Colonial Hockey League . The nine teams completed 74 encounters each in the regular season . The team with the highest points in the regular season were the Flint Generals , who won the Colonial Cup for the first time in the play-offs .
Team changes
The following changes were made before the start of the season:
- The London Wildcats went inactive.
- The Madison Monsters were added to the league as an expansion team.
- The Quad City Mallards were added to the league as an expansion team.
