The 1992/93 season was the second regular season of the Colonial Hockey League . The seven teams completed 60 encounters each in the regular season . The team with the highest points in the regular season were the Brantford Smoke , who won the Colonial Cup for the first time in the play-offs .

Team changes

The following changes were made before the start of the season:

• The Chatham Wheels were added to the league as an expansion team.
• The Muskegon Fury were added to the league as an expansion team.
• The Michigan Falcons changed their name to the Detroit Falcons.

Colonial Cup playoffs

First round

• Brantford Smoke - Flint Bulldogs 4-2 wins
• St. Thomas Wildcats - Detroit Falcons 4-2 wins
• Thunder Bay Thunder Hawks - Muskegon Fury 4-3 wins

Second round

The Brantford Smoke , St. Thomas Wildcats and Thunder Bay Thunder Hawks played against each other in each case on a return match. The first two came out on top and made it to the Colonial Cup final.
