John B. Sollenberger Trophy
The John B. Sollenberger Trophy is an award from the American Hockey League . It has been awarded annually to the player with the highest points in the regular season since the end of the 1947/48 season .
The trophy was named in 1955 after John B. Sollenberger , who was the manager and president of the Hershey Bears in the league for a long time . Previously, the award was named after Wally Kilrea, who had held the AHL point record until the beginning of the 1947/48 season, but was named after the first winner Carl Liscombe , who also broke Kilrea's record, after the season .
The previous record winners are Peter White and Bill Sweeney , who both received the award three times.
