Career
Pavel Rosa began his career as a hockey player at CHZ Litvínov , for whom he made his debut in the Czech extra league in the 1994/95 season . He was then selected in the 1995 NHL Entry Draft in the second round as a total of 50th player by the Los Angeles Kings . First, however, he played for two years for the Hull Olympiques in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League , with which he won the Coupe du Président in 1997 as a winner of the QMJHL, and then the Memorial Cup as a champion of the Canadian Hockey League .
After the attacker had missed most of the 1997/98 season due to a head injury, he was in the following season in 29 games, in which he scored 16 points, for the Los Angeles Kings in the National Hockey League on the ice. In the 1999/2000 season, Rosa only played three NHL games and played the rest of the season for their farm team , the Long Beach Ice Dogs from the International Hockey League , so he returned to Europe, where he was from 2000 to 2002 for each one Year in the Finnish SM-liiga for HPK Hämeenlinna and Jokerit Helsinki .
Subsequently, Rosa received another contract with the Los Angeles Kings, for which he played only four games in the NHL in the following two seasons. Instead, he ran for their farm team, the Manchester Monarchs , from the American Hockey League . In the summer of 2004, the winger received a contract with HK Dynamo Moscow in the Russian Super League , with which he immediately became Russian champions . After he had finished the 2005/06 season at Timrå IK in the Swedish Elitserien , the Czech was signed on August 29, 2006 as a free agent by HK Awangard Omsk , which he left during the 2008/09 season to work for Rögle BK in of the Elitserien.
At the beginning of the 2010/11 season to October 2010, Rosa had a brief assignment in the National League A at Friborg-Gottéron . He then returned to Kärpät Oulu . In January 2011, Rosa signed a two-year contract with Friborg-Gottéron, valid from the 2011/12 season .
After 13 missions in the 2012/13 season for Friborg-Gottéron , his contract was prematurely terminated in mid-December 2012. Rosa was then signed a few days later by HC Lugano to replace Patrice Bergeron and received a contract until the end of the 2012/13 season.
In October 2013 Rosa returned to his hometown club HC Litvínov and completed eleven extraliga games for the club before he was signed by the Pelicans Lahti from the SM-liiga about a month later . In the 2014/15 season he let his career end with Orli Znojmo in the Erste Bank Eishockey Liga before ending his career in April 2015.
Since 2016 he has been a member of the coaching staff of the U20 juniors of Friborg-Gottéron . In October 2019, Rosa took over the position of assistant coach for the professional team at Gottéron.
