Andrei Bykov ( Russian Андрей Вячеславович Быков / Andrei Wjatscheslawowitsch Bykow; born February 10, 1988 in Moscow , Russian SFSR ) is a Swiss ice hockey player of Russian origin who plays for Friborg-Gottéron in the National League .

career

The son of the former Soviet-Russian national ice hockey player and later coach Vyacheslav Bykov was born in Moscow, but grew up mainly in Switzerland, where his father played from 1990. Andrei Bykov went through the junior levels at Friborg-Gottéron , during the football year 2005-06 he recorded the first appearances for Üechtländer in the National League A . He developed into a permanent fixture in the Freiburg squad. In October 2011, RTS Sport referred to him as "the little Tsar of Saint-Léonard", alluding to his country of birth, his relatively small body size and his father.

National team

Bykov played international matches for Switzerland in the U18 and U20 age groups. Later he also ran for the men's national team.
