Daniel Brodin (born February 9, 1990 in Stockholm ) is a Swedish ice hockey player who has been under contract with Friborg-Gottéron in the National League since the 2019/20 season .
Career
Daniel Brodin began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth department of Almtuna IS , where he was active until 2007. The winger then moved to the U18 juniors of Djurgårdens IF , with whom he won the U18 Allsvenskan in the 2007/08 season. In the 2008-09 season , the winger made his debut for the Djurgårdens professional team in the Elitserien . He remained unpunished and punished in his only mission. In the 2009/10 season he was able to fight for a regular place in the professional team and contributed to the runner-up of his team with five scorer points, including two goals, in a total of 46 games. Subsequently, the Swedish junior international was selected in the NHL Entry Draft 2010 in the fifth round as a total of 146 players from the Toronto Maple Leafs .
In May 2012, moved to Brodin Ässät Pori in the Finnish SM-liiga and won with the team in the 2012/13 season the Championship . Between 2013 and 2015, the Swede was on the ice for Brynäs IF in Svenska Hockeyligan before returning to his youth club Djurgårdens IF for the 2015/16 season. He played at Djurgårdens for the next four seasons before being transferred to Friborg-Gottéron in the Swiss National League for the 2019/20 season .
International
For Sweden , Brodin took part in the 2010 U20 World Youth Championship .
