Killian Mottet (born January 15, 1991 in Freiburg im Üechtland ) is a Swiss ice hockey player . The winger is under contract with Friborg-Gottéron in the National League .

Player career

As a teenager, Killian Mottet followed the example of his father Jean-Jacques and his older brother Mike, who both played ice hockey. Mottet started at HC Friborg-Gottéron in his hometown and went through the club's youth department. During the 2009/10 season he made the leap into the NLA squad and made his debut in the top Swiss division. In order to gain match practice, Mottet came to three different clubs in the National League B in the following years : HC Sierre-Anniviers , Lausanne HC and HC Ajoie .

Since 2014 he has been active exclusively for his home club in the NLA. At the end of November 2018, he prematurely extended his contract in Freiburg until the 2022/23 season.

National team

After appearances in the U18 and U19 national teams, he was appointed to the men's national team for the first time in November 2015 .
